[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]About the laboratory The Genetic Immunology Laboratory was established in 2009 as one of the laboratories of the Genetic Engineering Branch for the purpose of adding a scientific laboratory
\nspecialized in genetic immunity to other specialized scientific laboratories in the branch in particular and the Institute in general in order to complete the research of graduate students and give practical lessons for the diploma, master’s and doctoral stages, as well as conducting specialized scientific research in the field of molecular biology of bacteria, fungi and pathological.
\nparasites Laboratory units:
\nThe laboratory team is interested in genetic engineering research related to immune diseases and virulent bacteria, and the laboratory contains many modern devices that help graduate students and researchers in completing their research accurately, such as polymerase reaction device, centrifuges, refrigerated incubators, biosafety cabins and microscopes for the purpose of examining isolates in addition to other devices and equipment distributed over three units: –
\nCultivation and Development
\nUnit In this unit, the various culture media that are used in the isolation and diagnosis steps of bacteria, fungi and parasites are prepared, as well as the preparation of laboratory solutions that are used in the protocols of molecular biology.
\nExtraction
\nUnit In this unit, the extraction of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is carried out.
\nCyriological
\nUnit In this unit, various research are conducted in the field of immunity, including investigation of immune indicators using the enzyme-bound immune adsorption device (ELISA).
\nLaboratory
\nObjectives 1- Training graduate students to apply biosafety.
\nconditions 2- Helping students to complete their research and facilitate their task in terms of transplantation, examination and diagnosis, and preparing a qualified staff to complete research and scientific and health functions in state
\ndepartments 3- Conducting practical lessons for doctoral graduate students (advanced genetic immunity and microbiology) and master’s (genetic immunity)<\/p>\n

Publication of research Much scientific research have been completed in the laboratory of genetic immunity by the laboratory staff and students and published in scientific, Arab and Iraqi journals in various scientific fields has included completed and under implementation projects on diabetes research.
