publishes a research in a Canadian scientific journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The lecturer at the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies \/ University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. &#8220;Ashwaq Bassem Jassim&#8221;, published her scientific research tagged (molecular diagnosis of enterotoxigenic bacteroides fragilis and gene distribution 16S rRNA, gyrb bft gene subtypes in Iraqi patients with diarrhea) in the Canadian scientific journal classified Q3:<br \/>\n&#8220;Journal of Population Therapeutics &amp; Clinical Pharmacology&#8221;<br \/>\nIn partnership with Dr. Hussein Ali Khalifa.<br \/>\nThe study aimed to detect Bacterium B. fragilis and the Bacteroides fragilis toxin (bft) gene used to detect enterotoxigenic bacterium Bacteroides fragilis.<br \/>\nThis study included 50 stool samples: 21 samples from patients suffering from diarrhea and 29 samples from healthy people collected from different hospitals in Baghdad city (Baghdad Teaching Hospital, Yarmouk Teaching Hospital, and Children&#8217;s Teaching Hospital at the beginning of March 2020 until the end of April 2021).<br \/>\nDuring the study, DNA was extracted directly from stool samples as well as conventional PCR targeting the gyrb gene and the 16S rRNA gene used in The results showed that the presence of the 16S rRNA gene was detected in 17 (32%) of the stool samples included 7 (41.17%) of patients and 10 (58.8%) of the healthy group.<br \/>\nThe study revealed the presence of the GYRB gene in 9 (52.9%) stool samples that included 4 (44.4%) of patients and 5 (55.5%) of the healthy group: the percentage of the presence of the BFT gene in 4 (23.5%) stool samples including: 3 patients and 1 healthy sample, the presence of BFT2 and BFT3 genes in 1 and 2 samples of diarrhea patients respectively.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;1146&#8243;
