{"id":1584,"date":"2024-07-01T07:33:18","date_gmt":"2024-07-01T07:33:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.ige.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1584"},"modified":"2024-07-01T07:33:18","modified_gmt":"2024-07-01T07:33:18","slug":"genetic-engineering-discuss-a-doctoral-thesis-on-the-polymorphism-of-the-pin1-gene-in-the-catalytic-region-and-the-gene-expression-of-the-pin1-and-pth-genes-and-their-relationship-to-the-occurrence-of","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.ige.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1584","title":{"rendered":"Genetic Engineering Discuss a doctoral thesis on the polymorphism of the Pin1 gene in the catalytic region and the gene expression of the Pin1 and PTH genes and their relationship to the occurrence of chronic kidney disease."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies \/ University of Baghdad discussed the thesis of doctoral student \u201cSafa Saleh Mahdi\u201d entitled: \u201cPolymorphisms of the Pin1 gene in the catalytic region and gene expression of the Pin1 and PTH genes and their relationship to the occurrence of chronic kidney disease in a sample of Iraqi patients.\u201d<br \/>\nThe study aimed to examine the extent of the effect of the Pin1 polymorphism genes and their expression, in addition to PTH gene expression and some other biochemical tests, in individuals who were diagnosed with chronic kidney disease within a sample of the Iraqi population.<br \/>\nThe study included 120 participants from the Iraqi population, who were selected from the dialysis center at Al-Imam Al-Kazemin Medical City Hospital in Baghdad between June 2022 and June 2023, and were divided into three groups. The first group included 40 patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis, including 15 females and 25 males, with an average age of (47.75 \u00b1 2.35) years. The second group consisted of 40 patients with chronic kidney disease who were not undergoing dialysis, including 18 females and 22 males with an average age of (46.92 \u00b1 1.99) years.
