{"id":1981,"date":"2024-12-08T07:58:12","date_gmt":"2024-12-08T07:58:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.ige.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1981"},"modified":"2024-12-08T07:58:12","modified_gmt":"2024-12-08T07:58:12","slug":"institute-of-genetic-engineering-holds-training-course-on-paraphrasing-and-summarizing-skills-for-academics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.ige.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1981","title":{"rendered":"Institute of Genetic Engineering holds training course on paraphrasing and summarizing skills for academics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies\/University of Baghdad held a training course entitled \u201cMastering Paraphrasing and Summarizing Skills for Academics\u201d by three lecturers, namely Lecturer Dr. \u201cWissam Hazem Salo\u201d, Lecturer Dr. \u201cRami Ali Taqi\u201d, and Lecturer Dr. \u201cSafaa Abdul Rasool\u201d, while Assistant Lecturer \u201cRand Qusay Majeed\u201d was the chair of the session and Assistant Lecturer \u201cRasul Muwaffaq\u201d was the rapporteur.<br \/>\nThe Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. \u201cSalwa Jaber Al-Awadi\u201d, attended the course activities in which a number of professors and members of the Institute participated.<br \/>\nThe course aimed to enable participants to improve their writing and communication skills by learning how to rephrase texts effectively.<br \/>\nThe course addressed the ultimate goal of avoiding plagiarism and how to rephrase information in new ways to avoid copying texts directly, as well as clarifying ideas as an improvement in the ability to express ideas clearly and in multiple ways, and also developing vocabulary by enhancing the stock of words and phrases by searching for appropriate alternatives for each concept.<br \/>\nThe course recommended the necessity of conducting diverse reading through reading a lot on different topics that help develop the writing style and improve vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p>It also recommended training in rephrasing by conducting an experiment to rewrite paragraphs in different ways to improve your ability to express yourself.<\/p>\n<p>The course emphasized the use of linguistic revision tools by using linguistic revision tools to correct spelling and grammatical errors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies\/University of Baghdad held a training course entitled \u201cMastering Paraphrasing and &#8230; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":37,"featured_media":1982,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[14,17,7],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1981","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-archives","category-last-news","category-a-a"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 -
