The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held a training course titled \u201cApplied Knowledge Course in Sanger and NGS Genetic Sequence Analysis.\u201d<\/strong> The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Imad Mohammed, with Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Ameer Mohammed Gharib serving as the session chair, and Assistant Lecturer Sara Mahdi Shalash as the course coordinator.<\/p>\n

The course aimed to provide applied analytical knowledge of genetic sequence data, as this data forms the cornerstone in identifying the relationship between genetic variations, diseases, and treatment responses.<\/p>\n

The course emphasized the importance of familiarizing researchers with direct and simplified methods for using databases to obtain the most accurate and clear results regarding genetic data.<\/p>\n

It recommended encouraging the organization of more training sessions in the field of genetic data analysis, as it plays a vital role in determining the association between genetic variations and disease conditions, as well as phenotypic changes and developments in living organisms. It also called for encouraging researchers to enhance their bioinformatics skills through specialized courses and workshops, and to strengthen frameworks for scientific collaboration with other ministries and their affiliated departments to benefit from such training.<\/p>\n
