In implementation of the directives of the Dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Salwa Jabir Al-Awadi<\/em>, regarding the importance of fostering cooperation with various government institutions\u2014especially regulatory bodies such as the Federal Integrity Commission\u2014in order to achieve the desired goals in service of the country, the media unit of the Institute organized the distribution of a series of publications issued by the Integrity Commission. These publications aim to promote a culture of integrity and outline measures for combating financial and administrative corruption and were distributed across the Institute’s administrative and academic units.<\/p>\n

Acting upon these directives, the Media Unit, led by Lecturer Dr. Rami Ali Taqi<\/em>, promptly began distributing these informational, legal, educational, and awareness materials to various units, most notably the Office of the Associate Dean for Administrative and Academic Affairs, represented by Professor Dr. Wathiq Abbas Al-Darraji<\/em>, as well as the two department heads: Professor Dr. Rafid Abdulwahid Al-Musawi<\/em>, Head of the Department of Genetic Engineering, and Professor Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Nader<\/em>, Head of the Department of Biotechnology.<\/p>\n

Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Zamim<\/em>, a staff member of the Media Unit, provided a concise and detailed explanation of the distributed materials, conveying the Dean\u2019s guidance on the necessity of spreading a culture of integrity and raising awareness of the consequences of administrative corruption among all staff members.<\/p>\n

The Media Unit also made these publications available in the Institute\u2019s lounge area<\/em>, allowing everyone an opportunity to review and benefit from the content.<\/p>\n

It is noteworthy that the Integrity Commission had previously participated in the Institute\u2019s Sixth International Scientific Conference<\/strong>, held on April 20, through an exhibit showcasing various media and awareness materials designed to engage the public and emphasize the importance of collaboration in combating administrative corruption\u2014particularly within educational institutions, which serve as a vital foundation for building society.<\/p>\n

During her visit to the exhibit, Dr. Al-Awadi affirmed the Institute\u2019s readiness to strengthen its cooperation with the Integrity Commission in order to achieve all objectives related to fighting corruption and protecting public funds.<\/p>\n
