The session was chaired by Asst. Lecturer Zainab Moayad Saber, with Asst. Lecturer Alaa Aziz Abdul-Hassan serving as the rapporteur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"532\" data-end=\"793\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The symposium aimed to highlight the importance of employing modern biotechnological techniques to achieve sustainable and eco-friendly production by reducing the use of chemicals and energy while improving the efficiency of bioactive compound extraction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"1088\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Participants reviewed the main challenges and industrial applications in this field, emphasizing the need to strengthen scientific research and foster collaboration between academic and industrial institutions to implement green extraction technologies in support of sustainable development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1299\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The discussions also addressed recent innovations in applying genetic engineering to develop green extraction processes for active compounds used in the pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic industries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1515\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The symposium recommended encouraging university\u2013industry partnerships to develop environmentally friendly extraction methods and to support research focused on developing low-toxicity bio-based solvents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1517\" data-end=\"1732\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">It also recommended establishing specialized research laboratories in applied genetic engineering for extraction processes and promoting a culture of sustainability in scientific and engineering education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1898\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Finally, the symposium proposed the establishment of a \u201cNational Center for Green Technologies\u201d to integrate research and industrial applications in this field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;2691&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;2690&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies \/ University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium titled &#8230; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":37,"featured_media":2692,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[14,17,7],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2697","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-archives","category-last-news","category-a-a"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 -
