The Dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies/University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. “Saif Daoud Al-Ahmar,” chaired a scientific committee to discuss the master’s thesis of the student in the Department of Life Sciences at the College of Science/University of Diyala, “Zeinab Yassin Khudair,” tagged “Study of the lethal microbial response to pyocyanin toward isolates.” skin infection due to Candida yeast.
The study showed that the pigment pyocyanin produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria is one of the secondary metabolites that have an important effect on the effectiveness of the bacteria and competition in the environment. The study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the microbial response to pyocyanin against Candida yeast isolates.
