A lecturer in genetic engineering participates in scientific research at the international conference at Cihan University in Erbil

The lecturer at the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies / University of Baghdad, Dr. Ali Muhammad Redha Al-Fandi, participated in the proceedings of the Fifth International Scientific Conference in the fields of biomedical sciences and medical sciences, which was held by Cihan University in Erbil, in cooperation with the Warsaw University of Sciences and the College of Medicine, University of Babylon.
Dr. Ali’s participation included the scientific research titled “Exploiting VPUSM 8 LYTIC PHAGE for biological control of V. cholerae bacteria: a new approach against cholera in the era of antibiotic resistance.”
The research included evaluating the scientific study of the effectiveness of the phage in controlling cholera, as an alternative treatment strategy.
The research results showed a significant reduction in the number of bacteria, with emphasis on the ability of VPUSM 8 to control the causative agent.
