The Iraqi Journal of Biotechnology was established in 2001 and was approved for scientific promotions according to the book of the Central Scientific Promotions Secretariat – University of Baghdad, No. 619, dated 2/17/2008. The journal is issued twice annually by the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology under the name (Iraqi Journal of Biotechnology), specializing in genetic engineering and biotechnology in the fields of life sciences, environment, agricultural sciences, human medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and specialized research in the subject of bioinformatic computing.
