The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Graduate Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a training course titled “Gene Expression and Interpretation of Its Results,” led by the Head of the Genetic Engineering Department, Professor Dr. “Maarib Nazeer Rashid,” with the participation of a number of faculty members, staff, and students of the Institute.

The course aimed to highlight the Real-Time PCR technique and its importance in diagnosing diseases, particularly cancerous and viral diseases, as well as detecting genetically modified foods.

The course included a practical session where the equations and calculations related to measuring gene expression and determining the genetic profiles of genes were explained.
