The handover and Receipt ceremony was held in the hall of the Secretariat of the Council of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies/University of Baghdad between the former Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. “Saif Dawood Al-Ahmar” and the new Dean, Professor Dr. “Salwa Jaber Al-Awadi”, in an atmosphere full of friendliness, love, respect and exchange of wishes for thanks, success and appreciation.

The ceremony was attended by the honorable members of the Institute Council, represented by the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. “Ismail Hussein Aziz”, as well as the Head of the Genetic Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. “Mareb Nazih Rashid”, the Head of the Biotechnology Department, Professor Dr. “Qais Qasim Ghaymah”, the Branch Rapporteur, Assistant Professor Dr. “Ali Imad Muhammad”, as well as the Head of the Council Secretariat, Lecturer Dr. “Wasan Abdul Razzaq Gharbi”, the Director of the Scientific Journal Department, Lecturer Dr. “Ali Muhammad Reda Al-Fandi”, and the Head of the Examination Committee, Professor Dr. “Muhammad Ibrahim Nader”, in addition to other professors from the Institute.

Dr. Salwa Al-Awadi expressed her thanks and appreciation to the former Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. “Saif Daoud Al-Ahmar”, appreciating his scientific and administrative efforts that he provided throughout his tenure as Dean of the Institute, while stressing the importance of achieving cooperation between all educational, administrative and technical cadres in the Institute, in order to strengthen the bonds and foundations of success, expressing her readiness to overcome all difficulties and obstacles that stand in the way of success, if any.

In turn, Assistant Professor Dr. “Saif Daoud Al-Ahmar” expressed his wishes for success, good luck and guidance to Dr. Salwa Al-Awadi, expressing his great confidence in her achievement of great success and her pursuit of it in order to achieve the desired goals, serving our beloved Iraq and our mother university (University of Baghdad).
