The Dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies/University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Salwa Jaber Al-Awadi, offered a special congratulations on behalf of herself and the professors and students of the institute on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the victory over the criminal ISIS groups, stressing that it is not just an event in our history, but rather a bright station that inspires future generations with the meanings of strong will. Dr. Al-Awadi wrote in the text of the congratulations that “on this historic day that carries within it the meanings of pride and dignity, we celebrate the anniversary of Victory Day, the day on which the heroes of the nation embodied the most wonderful images of sacrifice and bravery,” noting that “it is a day on which we restore the values of national unity and insistence on protecting the sovereignty of the nation and preserving its dignity.” She added, “Today we stand in reverence and respect for everyone who contributed to achieving this great victory, from leaders who ruled the mind.” She stressed that “Victory Day is not just an event in our history, but rather a shining station that inspires future generations with the meanings of strong will and faith in the cause of the homeland,” noting that “on this glorious day, we affirm our commitment to continue building and giving, guided by the values of sacrifice and loyalty that our heroes have offered us.” Dr. Al-Awadi concluded the congratulatory text by saying, “We ask God to protect our homeland and to perpetuate its security and prosperity, and that we always live up to the responsibility of preserving this great legacy… May you remain high and proud, Iraq.”
