In implementation of the directives of the esteemed ministry and under the guidance of the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, a large-scale afforestation and garden maintenance campaign was launched on the morning of Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in conjunction with National Afforestation Day. This initiative aims to preserve green spaces and promote the principles of sustainable development.
The campaign was conducted under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Salwa Al-Awadi, with the participation of the Associate Dean for Administrative and Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Wathiq Abbas Al-Daraghi, along with the heads of departments, Professor Dr. Mohammed Nader and Professor Dr. Marib Nazeeh. They oversaw the distribution and planting of seasonal and perennial seedlings across various sections and gardens of the institute, with the involvement of a distinguished group of faculty members and staff.
This initiative reflects the institute’s commitment to enhancing environmental awareness and contributing to the creation of a sustainable academic and healthy environment.
