The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies / University of Baghdad welcomed its newly admitted students for the academic year 2025–2026, where an official welcoming meeting was held by the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Salwa Jaber Al-Awadi, at the Dijla Hall of the Institute.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Awadi warmly welcomed the new students, congratulating them on their admission to the Institute and their commencement of official attendance after completing all the required administrative and legal procedures. She pointed out that the students’ swift completion of these procedures is clear evidence of their strong desire to join the academic community and begin genuine scientific steps.

Dr. Al-Awadi emphasized to the students that the Dean’s office had begun early preparations for the new academic year, which include equipping laboratories, lecture halls, and discussion rooms, all to serve the students.

She stressed the importance of students’ commitment to attending both theoretical and practical lectures, as well as preparing early to design scientific and research projects. She urged that these projects should be of high quality, serve the advancement of science, and reflect the reputation and legacy of the Institute.

Dr. Al-Awadi also noted that her office doors are open to all students for receiving comments, opinions, and suggestions, emphasizing that from the moment they entered the Institute, the students became part of this great academic institution.
