The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad was honored to receive His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naeem Al-Abboudi, accompanied by the University President, Prof. Dr. Baha Ensaf. The visit included attending part of a postgraduate thesis defense at the Institute.
His Excellency reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting scientific talents and encouraging applied research projects with tangible benefits to society, stressing the need for collaboration among colleges, institutes, and research centers to achieve real scientific progress.
The Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Salwa Jabir Al-Awadi, expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as a gesture of appreciation for the Institute’s scientific contributions. She noted that the visit provided great motivation for researchers and students to continue producing high-quality research that serves both science and the community.
The Institute reaffirmed its pledge to advance its scientific and research endeavors, aiming for further achievements that uphold the distinguished reputation of the University of Baghdad.
