The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies received an official delegation from the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Kut University as part of efforts to strengthen academic collaboration and sign a scientific and cultural memorandum of understanding to support higher education and achieve shared goals between the two institutions.
The delegation included Consulting Expert Professor Dr. Abdul Ameer Ghanem Sobhi, Assistant Professor Dr. Lama Hikmat Karim, Dean of the College, and Lecturer Dr. Wissam Basim Mohammed, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs. They were welcomed by the Institute’s Dean, Professor Dr. Salwa Jaber Al-Awadi, along with members of the institute’s council.
The visit program included a scientific lecture delivered by Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Sobhi Ghanem, followed by a lecture commemorating World Childhood Cancer Day by Higher Diploma student Noor Adnan Ali, and concluded with an awareness film illustrating the prevalence of the disease in Iraq. The delegation expressed appreciation for the institute’s high scientific and technical standards and emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise to benefit both students and researchers.
This visit is part of ongoing efforts to advance the educational process and strengthen scientific partnerships in support of higher education institutions.
