The Dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies / University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Salwa Jaber Al-Awadi, participated in a meeting of the committee tasked with establishing postgraduate studies programs, which was hosted by Al-Kindi College of Medicine / University of Baghdad.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan, Dean of the Center for Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies, with the participation of a distinguished group of deans from various colleges and institutes at the University of Baghdad. Among them were Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, Dean of the College of Science; Professor Dr. Mohammed Shihab Ahmed, Dean of Al-Kindi College of Medicine; Professor Dr. Wadood Taher Mohammed, Dean of Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering; Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil, Dean of the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies; and Professor Dr. Kazem Abdulwahid Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies.
The Dean’s participation came in her capacity as a member of the committee. The meeting addressed several topics related to the establishment of postgraduate programs and reviewed proposals included in the minutes of the joint meeting between the University of Baghdad and the Scientific Research Authority.
The meeting also witnessed a productive exchange of views and ideas among attendees, with emphasis on the importance of expanding scientific and research cooperation, and setting the foundations necessary to advance the quality of postgraduate programs in line with the requirements of scientific development and the needs of society.
