The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held a graduation photo event for the 27th cohort, “Lions of Mesopotamia,” under the patronage of the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Atiyah. The event was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, and the President of Al-Nisour University, Professor Dr. Abdul Jawad Kazem, along with a number of deans from the University of Baghdad, including Professor Dr. Wadoud Mohammed Taher, Professor Dr. Kazem Abdul Wahid, Professor Dr. Ameera Mohammed Saleh, Professor Dr. Raed Faleh, Professor Dr. Athmar Al-Shatri, and Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali.

The event was held in the institute’s gardens, where the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Salwa Jaber Al-Awadi, emphasized in her speech the importance of the field of genetic engineering and biotechnology, praising the continuous support of the University of Baghdad’s presidency in developing the scientific and research environment.

In his speech, the University President expressed his congratulations to the graduates, commending the institute’s efforts in preparing and qualifying them academically, and reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting its scientific progress and strengthening its academic standing.

At the conclusion of the event, the University President was honored with a commemorative shield in appreciation of his support and patronage, coinciding with the graduation celebration of the 27th cohort, “Lions of Mesopotamia.”
