Baghdad Hall at the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies / University of Baghdad hosted a special meeting with master’s students to discuss the various stages involved in writing their scientific theses and to address their latest needs.
The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Salwa Jaber Al-Awadi, and attended by the Associate Dean for Administrative and Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Wathiq Abbas Al-Darraji, the Director of the Student Affairs Unit, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Harbi Ibrahim, and the Rapporteur of the Department of Biotechnology, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Imad Mohammed.
The meeting addressed a series of theoretical and practical issues related to scientific research, including laboratory work and equipping labs with all necessary requirements to support both students and professors in achieving the desired research outcomes.
Dr. Al-Awadi reviewed with the students the scientific requirements for thesis discussions, including the adoption of a specific format for writing theses according to a defined guide, and emphasized the importance of adhering to it.
She also stressed the importance of students holding scientific seminars under the supervision of their academic advisors, with a schedule aligned with the research plan.
In turn, the students expressed their appreciation for the great dedication of the Institute’s Deanery and affirmed their commitment to following all the guidance issued by the Deanery.
